We’re looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join a growing specialist business providing billing and financial management services to medical professionals.
This is a varied, hands-on role covering management accounts, cashflow, invoicing, credit control, payroll support and financial reporting. You’ll work closely with the CFO and wider management team while overseeing the day-to-day finance function.
Key Responsibilities of the Finance Manager
* Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and KPI information.
* Maintain and reconcile company bank accounts and financial systems.
* Manage accounts receivable, invoicing and outstanding debtor balances.
* Investigate payment discrepancies and respond to client billing queries.
* Maintain rolling cashflow forecasts and monitor working capital.
* Prepare monthly financial reports for medical consultant clients.
* Calculate and reconcile consultant payments, fees, deductions and adjustments.
* Manage supplier invoices, expenses, payment runs and banking transactions.
* Support budgeting, forecasting and year-end account preparation.
* Work with HR and external providers to support monthly payroll.
* Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns.
* Maintain strong financial controls and accurate financial records.
* Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting and automation.
Key Requirements of the Finance Manager
* At least three years’ experience within finance, accounting or management accounting.
* Experience preparing management accounts and financial reports.
* Strong experience with reconciliations, accounts receivable and cashflow reporting.
* Experience working with external accountants and payroll providers.
* Degree-level qualification in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related subject.
* Experience using Xero or a similar accounting system.
An ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CPA or equivalent qualification, either completed or part-qualified, would be advantageous.
