How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    PRODUCT & DELIVERY LEAD

Own the evolution of a platform that could become a commercial SaaS product.

Most technology roles ask you to deliver someone else's roadmap.

This one asks you to shape it.

We're working with an established consultancy that has already built a sophisticated operational platform at the heart of its business.

It has reached the point where the technology works.

Now they're looking for someone to own what happens next.

    Not simply another Software Engineer.

    Not simply another Project Manager.

    Someone who naturally thinks...

    "What should we build next?"

"How do we make this genuinely valuable?"

"How do we get the whole business using it?"

"Should we build this internally or bring in specialist expertise?"

If those are the kinds of questions you enjoy answering, please keep reading.

This is a role about ownership.

You will work directly alongside the senior leader responsible for the company's digital transformation.

Together you will take ownership of an internal platform that is already transforming the business today and has genuine long-term ambitions of becoming a commercial SaaS product.

You will become the person who keeps the platform moving forward.

That means balancing product thinking, delivery, commercial priorities and technical judgement.

    You will help decide...

    • what gets built
    • when it gets built
    • why it matters
    • who delivers it
    • how success is measured

You will spend just as much time talking to users as you do speaking with developers.

    You might be perfect if...

You enjoy sitting between business and technology.

You have enough technical credibility to challenge engineers without needing to write every line of code yourself.

    You love organising complexity.

You enjoy bringing structure to ambitious ideas.

You naturally take ownership instead of waiting for instruction.

    Most importantly...

You genuinely enjoy building products over years rather than simply completing projects.

You will probably recognise yourself if you've worked as a...

    • Product Manager
    • Platform Manager
    • Technical Delivery Manager
    • Engineering Manager
    • Solutions Lead
    • Founding Engineer
    • Head of Product
    • Or another role where you've owned a product rather than simply contributed to one.

    Industry isn't especially important.

We've spoken to people from SaaS, ERP, PropTech, logistics, manufacturing, workflow automation and digital transformation businesses.

    The common thread isn't sector.

    It's mindset.

    What you will be doing…

    • Owning the ongoing evolution of a business-critical platform.
    • Shaping and maintaining the product roadmap.
    • Prioritising new functionality.
    • Working closely with stakeholders across the business.
    • Translating operational challenges into product improvements.
    • Coordinating technical delivery.
    • Supporting implementation and user adoption.
    • Helping position the platform for future commercialisation.

    Technical background

The platform has been built using modern technologies including:

    • TypeScript
    • React
    • Next.js
    • PostgreSQL
    • Prisma
    • Redis
    • Google Cloud Platform

Previous exposure to these technologies would be useful, but we're far more interested in your ability to own a product than whether you've used every framework listed above.

    What success looks like

Within your first year you will have:

    • become the recognised owner of the platform
    • built confidence across the business
    • established a clear roadmap
    • delivered meaningful product improvements
    • increased adoption
    • helped shape the platform's future commercial direction

    Package

    • £60,000-£80,000 (some flexibility for exceptional candidates)
    • Hybrid working (minimum three days per week in the London office)
    • Permanent position
    • Opportunity to shape a platform with genuine long-term commercial ambitions

    One final thing...

The hiring manager keeps coming back to one sentence during every conversation we've had…

"I want someone who treats this like it's their baby"
