How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    • Working closely with Underwriting teams and third parties to agree, sign off and implement new or amended wordings and policy documentation.

    • Acting as a specialist referral point and coach for wordings-related matters, enabling underwriting teams through guidance, constructive challenge and the sharing of technical expertise.

    • Proactively identifying potential contractual, wording or market issues and implementing practical, commercially viable solutions at an early stage.

    • Managing the progress and ownership of wording negotiations, including maintaining accountability for wordings returned to brokers until final agreement is reached.

    • Liaising with underwriters and claims teams on technical wording issues to support effective underwriting decisions and claims outcomes.

    • Contributing to product development activity through market research, insight and analysis of emerging trends and practices.

    • Ensuring documentation meets Lloyd’s requirements and reflects market best practice, underwriting standards and internal controls.

    • Supporting regulatory compliance activities, including thematic reviews, regulatory queries and returns, with a focus on fair customer outcomes and commerciality.

    • Maintaining and developing internal wordings resources, repositories and guidance materials.

    You will need

    • In-depth understanding of insurance contracts, policy wordings and customer communications.

    • Strong knowledge of regulatory and contractual considerations in multi-jurisdictional insurance transactions, including US surplus lines and other non-admitted business.

    • A commercial mindset, with the ability to balance legal and regulatory requirements with business objectives.

    • Confidence to make informed decisions on coverage issues and to articulate and defend those decisions to build consensus.

    • Strong knowledge of London Market wordings, including reinsurance.

    • Experience engaging with Lloyd’s and/or regulators.

    • Excellent drafting skills and a high standard of written English.

    • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to identify and address issues efficiently and effectively.

    • Strong ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements to practical scenarios, developing compliant and commercially sound solutions.

    • Clear, confident and engaging communication style, adapting approach to suit different audiences and maximise understanding.

    • Ability to empathise with customer needs and expectations, supporting fair and appropriate outcomes.

    • Resilience and flexibility, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under pressure.
