How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Design Coordinator / Assistant Design Manager – Role Overview

    Key Responsibilities

    Design Tracking & Information Management

    • Maintain and update key design trackers, including IRS, design deliverables, comments, RFIs and package review trackers.
    • Keep tracker statuses up to date based on information received from consultants, subcontractors and project teams.
    • Highlight missing, overdue or inconsistent information to the Design Manager.
    • Support the collation and review of design information.
    • Track consultant and subcontractor deliverables against agreed programme dates.

    Document Control & Information Management

    • Upload, file and track drawings, documents and submissions through Procore, SharePoint or relevant CDE platforms.
    • Ensure revisions, document titles, statuses and references are accurately recorded.
    • Assist with preparing design review workflows and information packs.
    • Maintain clear records of issued, reviewed and superseded information.
    • Liaise with the wider project information management team where required.

    Meetings & Action Management

    • Prepare information packs for design meetings, workshops and package reviews.
    • Attend design meetings and workshops and record clear meeting notes and actions.
    • Maintain action trackers following design team meetings and coordination sessions.
    • Follow up outstanding actions with consultants, subcontractors and internal teams.
    • Escalate delayed or unresolved actions to the Design Manager.

    Design Coordination Support

    • Assist the Design Manager with coordinating consultant and subcontractor responses.
    • Collate design comments from design, commercial and site teams.
    • Track the close-out of design comments, queries and outstanding actions.
    • Maintain design registers, schedules and project correspondence.
    • Identify gaps between issued information, required deliverables and project trackers.

    Project Team Support

    • Provide administrative support across design, commercial, site and project team interfaces.
    • Maintain visibility of design actions, responsibilities and deadlines.
    • Prepare summaries of outstanding design items for internal progress meetings.
    • Support the Design Manager in maintaining accurate, organised and auditable project records.

    Responsibility

    The Design Manager retains responsibility for design leadership, technical coordination, design risk, consultant/subcontractor direction and overall design strategy. This role provides structured coordination and administrative support to ensure the design process remains organised and on programme.

    Experience & Profile

    The role would suit someone with approximately 1–3 years' experience in:

    • Design coordination
    • Assistant Design Management
    • Document Control within a construction environment
    • Graduate-level construction, architecture, engineering or project management

    Required Skills

    • Good understanding of construction drawings and design information.
    • Strong document control and information management skills.
    • Confident using Excel and managing project trackers.
    • Experience with Procore, SharePoint or another CDE would be beneficial.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Able to record clear actions and follow these up professionally.
    • Highly organised, accurate and detail-focused.
    • Comfortable working within a fast-paced construction project environment.
    • Confident liaising with consultants, subcontractors and internal project teams.

    Desirable Experience

    • Previous experience working for a main contractor.
    • Understanding of design review and approval workflows.
    • Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, drawing registers and design trackers.
    • Experience tracking consultant and subcontractor design deliverables.
    • Understanding of construction project stages and the wider design coordination process.
