How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Department: Design & Content (Graphics Team Primary) Reporting To: Associate Creative Director / Creative Lead Location: Full-time | Office-based in Shoreditch, East London Salary: £30,000-£34,000 (depending on experience)

    About mccglc

mccglc creates Stories and Spaces that Connect. We are a London-based collective of global talent from diverse backgrounds and cultures whose differences fuel our creativity and bold, cutting-edge design. We believe that by seamlessly integrating Stories and Spaces, we create the immersive experiences that connect our clients' audiences closer to them.

    • Stories: We make brands memorable by blending information, creativity, and emotion into stories that are not just told, but felt and remembered.
    • Spaces: We transform environments into captivating experiences by embedding interactivity, architectural awe, and human-led design into every touchpoint.

By uniting these two worlds, we craft powerful connections and memorable brand experiences that deliver measurable impact and long-lasting value for our clients.

    About the Role:

In our studio, the Junior Designer is a high-velocity contributor driving execution speed, precision, and enthusiasm across our live event projects.

Your primary home will be in the Graphics Team, where you will focus on print artworking for international conferences—developing Key Visuals (KVs), large-format environmental graphics, booth signage, and print collateral. However, because our studio is fluid, you will regularly cross over into the Content Team to assist with interactive touchscreens, digital UI layouts, and digital activation assets.

    Your Responsibilities & Impact

    1. Craft & Software: Speed & Accuracy

    • Roll out approved Key Visuals across complex 3D conference builds, booth walls, suspended graphics, and wayfinding signage.
    • Prepare print-ready files with technical precision (correct color spaces, resolutions, bleed, and safe zones).
    • Deep-dive into software shortcuts, digital UI tools (Figma), and emerging generative AI tools to accelerate early concept visualising.
    • Assist in building clean, modular graphic assets and UI layouts for interactive touchscreens and digital congress activations.

    2. Lateral Thinking: Applied Creativity

    • Tackle incoming briefs and developing layout options
    • Apply creative problem-solving across various mediums—ensuring a brand identity translates seamlessly from a 10-meter print wall to a 55-inch interactive touchscreen.

    3. Accountability & Leading: Self-Management

    • Take full ownership of your assigned tasks, delivering high-quality work on time within allocated project hours.
    • Raise your hand early with your Creative Lead or Project Manager if a deadline is at risk or if brief requirements are unclear.

    4. Communication & Impact: Clarity & Initiative

    • Bring a positive, "can-do" energy to the studio floor every day.
    • Interrogate briefs in initial kickoffs by asking the right questions before opening design software.
    • Act as an effective, communicative bridge between the Graphics, Spatial, and Content teams.

    To Qualify: Your Creative DNA

    • Experience: 1–2 years of agency or studio experience (or a standout placement/graduate portfolio) demonstrating strong fundamentals in layout, typography, and print artworking.
    • Software Toolkit: Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). Working knowledge of Figma or digital prototyping tools is a major plus.
    • T-Shaped Mindset: Deep passion for print and environmental graphic design, combined with a genuine curiosity for interactive digital experiences and new creative tech.
    • Attention to Detail: Meticulous eye for detail—zero tolerance for misaligned grids, broken typography, or incorrect print file setups.
    • Eligibility: Right to work in the UK and fluent in spoken and written English.

    What You Get in Return

    • Direct Mentorship: One-on-one coaching from Senior Designers and the Associate Creative Director designed to fast-track your progression to Mid-Weight.
    • Portfolio-Worthy Work: High-profile global client projects seen by thousands of delegates worldwide.
    • Experience, sense of purpose, and career fulfillment.
    • Full-time, office-based role in our Shoreditch studio — collaborate in person with a passionate creative team
    • Flexible 7-hour workdays (core hours 10am–4pm)
    • 26 days holiday + bank holidays (accruing 1 additional day each year, up to 30 days)
    • Breakfast, fruit, snacks and barista-grade coffee
    • Company socials, time-off in lieu and cycle-to-work scheme
    • Apple MacBook and mobile phone provided
    • Dedicated one-to-one mentoring and coaching to help you achieve your goals
