How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEN Learning Support Assistant


    Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and making a lasting difference in their educational journey?

    We are currently seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to work within a welcoming and inclusive school. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, speech and language difficulties, and moderate to complex learning needs.


    You will work closely with teachers, the SENDCO and wider support staff to provide tailored support that enables every pupil to thrive both academically and socially.


    🕒 Working Hours

    8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

    Term Time Only


    💡 What We're Looking For

    • Experience working with children , young people or vulnerable adults with Special Educational Needs is desirable.
    • A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • A patient, resilient and proactive approach.
    • The ability to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
    • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
    • Ability to provide two recent references.


    🎯 Key Responsibilities

    • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
    • Support children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and other additional learning needs.
    • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated learning activities.
    • Encourage positive behaviour and support pupils with emotional regulation.
    • Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs and learning styles.
    • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
    • Support pupils with communication, social interaction and independence.
    • Build positive relationships with pupils, families and the wider school team.
    • Help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child can succeed.
