How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    About Nexus Additive

Nexus is a cutting-edge deep tech startup positioned at the intersection of advanced manufacturing and artificial intelligence. The planes, rockets, cars, medical implants and fusion reactors of the future will be built with 3D printed components, only if the challenge of quality assurance can be solved. Our proprietary technology transforms complex sensor data into real-time actionable insights, enabling manufacturers to dynamically adapt and verify their processes with unprecedented precision.

Founded by a team of experts in AI, materials science, and additive manufacturing, we've already secured partnerships and first revenues with industry leaders and are backed by investors who believe in our vision to fundamentally transform how safety-critical components are manufactured.

    The Opportunity

This is not just another operations role. This is your chance to redefine manufacturing.

As our Chief of Staff, you'll work directly alongside our CEO and CTO as their operational right hand, driving execution across fundraising, commercial strategy, hiring, operations and strategy. This is a high-agency operations and commercial role, not an administrative one, with pathway to COO as the company grows. Every week is different, and you'll take real ownership from day one. You'll join a founding-stage technical team where your contributions will have immediate, visible impact.

    Core Responsibilities

    •  Act as the operational right hand to the CEO & CTO, owning follow-through on actions, decisions and next steps across the business.

    •  Attend investor, customer, commercial and internal meetings; capture actions and drive accountability.

    •  Manage external finance and accounting partners to ensure accurate financial operations and reporting.

    •  Conduct market modelling to support pricing, forecasting, and strategic decisions (either independently or in collaboration with the CEO & commercial lead).

    •  Coordinate projects across every function, removing bottlenecks and keeping execution on track.

    •  Support fundraising, investor due diligence and preparation of fundraising materials.

    •  Support commercial strategy and partnerships, from first conversation through to execution.

    •  Prepare strategic presentations, grant applications and key business documentation.

    •  Coordinate hiring, onboarding and internal operations.

    •  Build the operational systems and processes that let the company scale.

    Required Expertise

    •  Exceptional organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.

    •  Outstanding project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams simultaneously.

    •  Highly proactive, you identify problems before they become problems.

    •  A bias towards action and the ability to hit the ground running from day one.

    •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    •  Strong commercial awareness and intellectual curiosity.

    •  Ability to think critically, solve problems independently and take ownership.

    •  Excellent judgement when handling confidential information.

    •  Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup where priorities evolve quickly.

    •  Excited to learn across fundraising, operations, AI, science and entrepreneurship.

    •  Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a bias toward practical solutions

    •  Eligible to work in the UK

    Preferred Qualifications

    •  Experience in startups, consulting, venture capital, investment banking, law or another high-performance environment.

    •  Experience supporting founders or a senior leadership team.

    •  Exposure to fundraising, commercial strategy or business operations.

    •  Interest in AI, deep-tech, or advanced materials/manufacturing.

    •  Strong presentation, Excel and writing skills.

    •  Startup experience or demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments

    Why Join Nexus

    •  Impact: Your work will directly enable more sustainable, efficient manufacturing of critical components

    •  Innovation: Work at the bleeding edge of both AI and advanced manufacturing

    •  Team: Join a diverse, multi-disciplinary team of experts passionate about solving meaningful problems

    •  Benefits:

    • Competitive salary
    • Equity incentives
    • Comprehensive healthcare package
    • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
    • Central London location with excellent facilities (hybrid role)
    • Regular team events and learning opportunities

    Application Process

    •  Submit your CV (max 2 pages) and a brief cover letter explaining your interest to careers@nexus-am.com

    •  Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and you can expect to hear from us within 7 days

    •  Our interview process is streamlined to respect your time, typically involving:

    • Initial conversation with founders (30 min)
    • Technical discussion with the team (90 min)
    • Final meet-the-team session (60 min)
