A tier 1 construction contractor is seeking a talented proposal writer to join their team in Manchester. You’ll play a key role in crafting compelling proposals for building and infrastructure projects, working alongside a highly respected and collaborative bid team.
You will have bid experience within the built environment and have a proven track record of creating winning content. My client is open to someone looking to take a step up or an already established bid writer who is seeking a new challenge.
This role is office based just outside of Manchester, with on site parking. Salary is £35,000 - £47,000 depending on experience plus car / car allowance.
Duties and responsibilities
- Develop, write and edit high quality material that responds to client needs and articulates win themes through understanding client needs and scoring criteria
- Collaborate with bid team and functional subject matter experts through answer planning, coaching, interviews and workshops to translate technical narratives into simple, client-focused responses
- Participate in response review sessions; provide feedback to SMEs/bid teams to ensure their solutions meet the response requirements and marking criteria
- Check and proof-read final copy prior to submission and finalise responses within bid submission deadlines
- Review and edit evidence pieces and other bid collateral to help others, highlighting exemplar responses and evidence for our collateral management system
- Capture lessons learnt – identify issues blocking success, share learning, make necessary changes
- Make effective use of technology to maximise the team’s productivity and responsiveness
