We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Buyer to create compelling, high-performing product ranges. In this role, you will lead the product lifecycle from initial concept through to delivery, working closely with design, engineering, QA, and international suppliers to deliver market-leading ranges.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct competitor research and analyse sales data to identify category growth opportunities globally.
- Brief internal design teams and Far East factories on new concepts, negotiate tooling costs, and manage the full product lifecycle.
- Collaborate with artwork teams and QA to ensure packaging meets brand guidelines, safety standards, and critical path timelines.
- Build strong relationships with overseas suppliers, negotiate terms to maximise margins, and manage accurate pricing and line lists.
- Prepare showroom displays and present product ranges to Senior Management, Sales Teams, and key retail partners.
- Provide day-to-day line management and mentorship for junior team members.
- Attend key trade fairs and travel internationally to support development and vendor relationships.
What We’re Looking For
- A passion for creative product development and conceptualising product features.
- Strong background in commercial buying, sourcing, and negotiating with Far East factories.
- solid understanding of both UK and international retail marketplaces.
- Proven track record in cross-functional collaboration (Design, QA, Engineering, and Sales).
- Experience with line management or mentoring junior team members.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage tight deadlines in an entrepreneurial, fast-moving environment.
- Strong communication, presentation, and Microsoft Office skills.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
