How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Firm

    A leading national Law firm are seeking a Construction Associate to join their busy and highly regarded team.


    Role

    You will join the Legal 500 ranked team focusing on non-contentious construction law although there will be an opportunity to undertake some contentious work if preferred. You will advise on high-value and complex construction matters both domestically and international advising on the full ambit of construction, development and infrastructure with a focus on regeneration schemes, accommodation sector projects, energy and renewables, healthcare, hotels and infrastructure.


    You

    Please apply if you between 0-2 years of PQE in non-contentious construction law from a recognised construction law UK practice. The candidate should have experience with standard form construction contracts and some experience of commercial and/or housing development work.


    A good working knowledge of the various std form contracts and appointments, including JCT, NEC and EPC forms, their standard amendments and market norms is ideal, as is a willingness to take on more bespoke, complex agreements, large scale due diligence exercises and/or typical development arrangements with appropriate supervision.
