How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job title: Document Reviewer

    Pay: £150 Per Day (Inside IR35, PAYE)

    Duration: 6 months, likely to extend to maximum 2 year tenure

    Location: 50% office attendance across the month in Stratford, London, with a team in-office day on Tuesdays.

    About the division

    This organisation's Enforcement and Market Oversight (EMO) investigates and brings regulatory, disciplinary and civil cases, together with criminal prosecutions on behalf of the organisation against firms and individuals, aimed at achieving credible deterrence by changing behaviour in the financial services industry, in accordance with the company's objectives. It plays a key role in the work of the whole organisation to reduce financial crime and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.


    About the department

    The Wholesale department ensures that suspected wrongdoing in the wholesale financial markets is investigated and where serious misconduct by firms and/or individuals is identified they are held to account. Our investigation teams undertake criminal, civil, and regulatory investigations spanning insider dealing, market manipulation, misleading statements by listed companies and systems and controls failings.


    About the role

    This role will involve working in a complex criminal case reviewing large and diverse volumes of data within our eDiscovery platform EDT.


    Role Responsibilities:

    • Review and analyse large volumes of digital material to determine relevance and evidential value.
    • Assess whether material supports, undermines or points away from case hypotheses.
    • Conduct document review across multiple digital formats using EDT or equivalent review platforms.
    • Accurately record findings and produce clear, concise written reports.
    • Work independently on allocated review tasks while contributing effectively to the wider investigation team.
    • Apply appropriate judgement, confidentiality and quality assurance standards throughout the review process.


    Skills:


    Minimum:

    • Demonstrable experience in any of the following areas: investigations involving serious fraud, complex financial crime, or criminal cases
    • Experience in conducting Document Review in line with Criminal Procedures in Investigations Act 1996 (CPIA) using an eDiscovery tool
    • Experience of succinctly communicating review findings both orally and in writing.


    Essential:

    • Ability to assess and examine voluminous and data-heavy bodies of documents in cases, exercising judgement on the evidence
    • Technically adept in the use of Microsoft office tools and preferably eDiscovery software.
