As a Material Handler, you are a key part of our business supply chain. Your responsibilities will include picking of materials from the Warehouse against Work Orders for Line-side supply to Production, working cross-functionally as a key contributor and maintaining materials and other records.

About the role
As a Material Handler this role will focus on:
- Picking materials from the Warehouse against Work Orders for Line-side supply to Production.
- Receiving goods in, material storage, stock checking, counting and kit picking to ensure accurate, standardised and timely supply of material components to Production.
- Recording and reporting inventory statuses and making sure deliveries properly match purchase orders.
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBLITLIES:
In your role as our Material Handler, you will:
- To receive in goods, booking items in accurately and locating them in the designated locations within the Warehouse
- Pick material components against Work Orders and issue to Bills of Material (BoM)
- Manage and maintain stocks of consumable items, purchase stores consumables in line with budget and minimum stock requirements.
- Carry out Perpetual Stock Takes, reporting shortages to Warehouse Supervisor or, in their absence, to Production/Supply Chain
- Ensure that all items within the Warehouse are booked out accurately to receiving departments, at no time allowing free access to unauthorised personnel

- Experience working within a busy Warehousing or stock control function within either engineering and/or manufacturing/ production
- In-depth understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements
- A basic understanding of English - both written and verbally
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of Office 365
- Knowledge of the operation of ERP and MRP systems
- Able to work within a team, take direction from others and collaborate effectively
Desirable:
- Forklift licence would be advantageous

- Willingness to learn and highly self-motivated
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills
Eligible to work in the UK and ability to work flexible hours, as required
