Interim Employment Counsel (EMEA) | 12-Month FTC or Consultant | REMOTE UK BASED
We are working exclusively on behalf of a high-growth, international professional services organisation seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer (approximately 6–8 PQE) to join its collaborative legal team on an initial 6-month basis, with a strong possibility of extension.
This is an excellent opportunity to take on a varied, strategic role supporting employment law matters across the EMEA region. Working closely with senior legal stakeholders and the Global Head of Employment, you will play a key role in shaping and strengthening employment processes and governance within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial business.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Advising on a broad range of employment law matters across multiple EMEA jurisdictions.
- Supporting and developing works council governance and employee relations initiatives.
- Helping to establish and enhance an employee relations framework and associated governance processes.
- Creating practical HR guidance, playbooks, policies and documentation to support the wider business.
- Partnering with HR, Compliance and business leaders on day-to-day employment issues.
- Contributing to projects focused on dispute prevention, employment risk management and process improvement, including the use of technology and AI to identify trends and inform decision-making.
- Supporting the legal team on strategic employment projects as the function continues to evolve.
The successful candidate will be commercially minded, pragmatic and proactive, with previous exposure to works councils and experience operating in an international environment. This role would suit someone who enjoys building processes, solving problems and making a tangible impact within a growing organisation.
The position can be offered on either a fixed-term contract or consultancy basis (day rate), with a hybrid working pattern and a welcoming London-based team. Candidates outside of London areas will also be considered.
