How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Product Design has been instrumental in Betty's growth, helping us build a product that has scaled rapidly over the last few years.

As Betty has evolved, our platform has become broader, more complex and increasingly native-first. The design framework, systems and principles that got us here have served us well, but we're now beginning to feel constrained by them rather than enabled. Incremental improvements are no longer enough. To unlock the next phase of growth, we need to rethink the foundations of our product experience.

We're looking for a design leader who can bring fresh eyes to our product, challenge long-held assumptions, and redefine our design language, interaction patterns and operating model. Someone who can evolve our design system into a platform that enables the next generation of Betty.

This is a Group-level leadership role for someone who combines exceptional product thinking, design craft and organisational leadership to build category-defining mobile experience.

    Our Values

We are honest - we value honesty in all aspects

Bring the Olives - we offer premium customer experience

Think Big - we believe in always striving for more

    Key responsibilities:

    • Evaluate our existing design framework, systems and product architecture, identifying where they no longer support the scale or quality we aspire to
    • Lead the evolution of Betty's design language, component library and interaction principles to create a more scalable, cohesive and premium product experience.
    • Establish a design operating model and governance that enables teams to move quickly without compromising quality or consistency.
    • Build, mentor and scale a high-performing Product Design team, fostering a culture of craftsmanship, collaboration and continuous improvement.
    • Partner closely with Product, Engineering and LiveOps to shape the product roadmap and deliver exceptional player experiences.
    • Act as the design voice at leadership level, influencing product strategy and key business decisions.

    Requirements:

    • You know how to recognise when a design framework has reached its limits—and have successfully modernised or reinvented one without losing momentum.
    • You have exceptional product taste and a deep understanding of interaction design, mobile UX and scalable design systems.
    • You can balance long-term design vision with pragmatic execution, knowing when to redesign foundations and when to iterate.
    • You have a strong point of view on product design and the confidence to challenge assumptions, influence senior stakeholders and set direction.
    • You have experience owning design outcomes that drive business impact, with a track record of improving engagement, retention or conversion through design.

    What we offer:

    • Competitive salary
    • Premium Health insurance
    • Career and skills development opportunities
    • Fun and collaborative team environment
