How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    What we ask

    Education

    No minimum education required

    Job description

Event Host / Brand Ambassador — Summer University Student Work, Crewe

    Location: Crewe, Cheshire

    Dates: Monday 10 August – Friday 18 September 2026, weekdays only — 30 days

Hours: Approximately 10.25 hours per day, times confirmed at briefing

    Pay: £14.50 per hour

We're placing one Event Host for a six-week summer run at a leading automotive manufacturer's Crewe site, hosting a confidential product preview for invited media, customers and senior company guests.

It's one placement held by the same person for the whole run, so you'll need to commit to all thirty days — and it finishes before most terms start.

    What you'll be doing

    • Welcoming media guests, customers and prospects on arrival
    • Acting as the first point of contact — answering practical questions, directing guests, keeping sessions running to time
    • Tracking arrivals against the guest list in Excel and relaying names and timings to the client team
    • Working alongside the on-site security team on confidentiality protocol, including phones being locked into pouches
    • Holding a polished, friendly and professional manner across the full shift, every day

    What we're looking for

    • Some customer-facing experience — hosting, front-of-house, promo work, retail, hospitality or a campus ambassador role all count
    • Genuinely presentable and articulate. You'll be the first face senior guests and press see
    • Discreet. This is a pre-launch under strict confidentiality and you'll sign an NDA
    • Composed when things move — guest lists change and arrivals bunch up
    • Confident with Excel
    • Own transport is essential — the site isn't practical to reach otherwise

    The details

    • Full briefing before day one, covering call times, protocol, the guest list process and on-site contacts

    • Six weeks of solid, well-paid summer work with a globally recognised brand — and the kind of thing that stands out on a CV if you're heading into events, PR, marketing or hospitality
