Experience:
Four to ten years PQE
We are supporting an international energy solutions business in appointing a Legal Counsel to join its growing UK legal team.
The role will work closely with the General Counsel and senior stakeholders across sales, procurement, commercial and project delivery. It offers significant autonomy and exposure to complex renewable energy and infrastructure projects across solar, battery storage, energy efficiency, heat solutions and hydrogen.
Key responsibilities
• Review and negotiate construction, EPC and project agreements
• Support sales teams with tenders and customer contracts
• Draft and negotiate subcontractor, supplier and framework agreements
• Advise project managers and procurement teams throughout project delivery
• Support governance, compliance and wider commercial legal matters
• Provide practical and commercially focused legal advice across the business
Candidate profile
• Qualified solicitor in England and Wales
• Four to six years post qualification experience
• Strong projects, construction or infrastructure experience
• Previous in house experience or a substantial in house secondment
• Experience with construction contracts, project agreements and supply chain arrangements
• Commercial, pragmatic and solutions focused
Renewable energy experience would be advantageous, particularly across solar, battery storage or wider energy infrastructure, although candidates from broader construction and infrastructure backgrounds will also be considered.
