How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Privacy Counsel (12-Month FTC)

    Location: London or Dublin


    MLA is supporting a globally recognised technology and digital media organisation whose products are used by hundreds of millions of people worldwide. Operating at the forefront of innovation, data, AI and online platform regulation, the company works within one of the most complex and fast-evolving privacy environments in the market. Their legal and privacy teams play a critical role in enabling responsible product development while ensuring compliance with global regulatory requirements.


    They are seeking an experienced Privacy Counsel to join their Privacy & Regulatory team on a 12-month maternity cover contract.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and manage DPIAs and LIAs, including stakeholder engagement and governance approvals.
    • Provide privacy advice on new product and feature launches, particularly across the UK and EEA.
    • Monitor developments in GDPR, UK GDPR, DSA, AI Act, ePrivacy and related regulations.
    • Support regulatory engagement, notifications and responses to information requests.
    • Review and advise on updates to external privacy policies and accountability documentation.
    • Partner with Legal, Product, Engineering, Policy and Communications teams on privacy compliance matters.
    • Provide wider support across regulatory and privacy workstreams as required.

    About You

    • Qualified Lawyer with approximately 5-6+ PQE in Privacy/Data Protection.
    • Strong working knowledge of GDPR and UK GDPR.
    • Hands-on experience conducting or reviewing DPIAs and LIAs.
    • Experience supporting product launches within a technology, digital, platform or highly regulated environment.
    • Knowledge of broader digital regulation, including exposure to the DSA, AI Act, ePrivacy or online safety frameworks.
    • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

    Desirable

    • Experience within a major technology business, online platform or leading privacy practice.
    • Exposure to regulatory investigations, DPA engagement or complex cross-border privacy issues.
    • Understanding of privacy implications relating to AI, content moderation and child safety
