How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Lead Product Data Scientist – Brighton

Brighton | Hybrid – 3 days a week in the office, reducing to 2 days from January 2027

    £80,000–£90,000 depending on experience

    Ref: J13155

A growing product-led business is expanding its data capabilities and is looking for a commercially minded Lead Product Data Scientist to help shape how data is used across the organisation. Working with executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams, you’ll identify opportunities for data to create value across customer, product and operational use cases. You’ll challenge assumptions, influence strategic decisions and help stakeholders understand what is possible through data.

This is a highly visible and consultative role, but you’ll remain hands-on, using SQL, Python, experimentation and statistical analysis to test ideas, quantify opportunities and measure outcomes.

    What you’ll be doing

    • Partner with executive stakeholders to identify and shape data opportunities.
    • Translate complex business challenges into clear analytical solutions.
    • Quantify potential value before products or features are developed.
    • Work with Product, Engineering and Design teams to influence product direction.
    • Apply experimentation and hypothesis testing to validate ideas and measure success.
    • Communicate clear recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Help broaden the use and understanding of data across the business.

    About you

    • Strong experience in product analytics, decision science or commercial data science.
    • A proven ability to influence executive and senior stakeholders.
    • Experience applying data across a broad range of commercial or operational use cases.
    • Advanced SQL and commercial Python experience.
    • Strong knowledge of experimentation, A/B testing and statistical analysis.
    • Experience within a product-led, marketplace, ecommerce or consumer business.
    • The confidence to challenge thinking while remaining collaborative and commercially focused.

If you’re looking for a senior role combining strategic influence with hands-on data science, apply today.
