Intellectual Property Associate (Trade Mark focus) | 3+ PQE | London
The Opportunity
Join a market-leading global Intellectual Property team with an outstanding reputation for advising many of the world's best-known brands. Working as part of an internationally integrated practice, you'll handle high-profile, cross-border trade mark matters across sectors including luxury, fashion, retail, technology, hospitality and sport.
This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with leading partners on a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious trade mark work.
Responsibilities:
- Managing UK, EU and international trade mark portfolios.
- Advising on brand clearance, filing strategies and global portfolio management.
- Handling oppositions, cancellations, revocations and infringement disputes before the UKIPO and EUIPO.
- Coordinating international enforcement programmes and working with overseas counsel.
- Advising on licensing, coexistence agreements, IP due diligence and wider commercial brand protection matters.
What They Are Looking For:
- At least 3 years' PQE with strong trade mark experience.
- Experience managing both contentious and non-contentious trade mark matters.
- A commercial, client-focused approach with excellent communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload.
- Experience working directly with clients and building lasting relationships.
- A collaborative mindset and ambition to contribute to the continued growth of the team.
