How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Are you passionate about improving processes, streamlining systems and making HR more efficient?

We're looking for an HR professional who enjoys challenging the status quo, embracing technology and finding smarter ways of working. This is more than a traditional HR Assistant role; it's an opportunity to play a key part in modernising our HR function through continuous improvement, automation and data-driven decision-making.

If you're naturally curious, enjoy improving processes, have a strong understanding of HR systems and love turning manual tasks into efficient, streamlined solutions, we'd love to hear from you.

Working closely with our Group Director of HR & Development and managers across the business, you'll help optimise our HR systems, enhance the employee experience and support the development of a modern, digitally enabled HR function.

    What You'll Be Doing

    Drive Continuous Improvement

    • Review, improve and streamline HR processes across the employee lifecycle.
    • Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks and increase efficiency.
    • Configure and enhance HR workflows, digital forms and approval processes.
    • Support the ongoing development and optimisation of our HR systems, including PeopleHR and our Business Management System.
    • Explore innovative technologies, including AI-enabled solutions, to improve the way we work.

    HR Systems & People Data

    • Maintain accurate employee records while ensuring GDPR compliance.
    • Produce meaningful HR reports and dashboards covering areas such as headcount, absence, turnover, recruitment and training.
    • Analyse people data to identify trends, provide insights and support business decision-making.
    • Support HR projects through accurate reporting and data analysis.

    Support Managers

    • Create practical HR guidance, digital resources and training materials that help managers confidently manage their teams.
    • Develop self-service tools and resources covering onboarding, probation, performance management and absence management.
    • Help improve consistency and capability across the business through accessible HR knowledge and guidance.

    HR Operations & Compliance

    • Monitor key HR compliance activities, including Right to Work, probation reviews, mandatory training and policy acknowledgements.
    • Support policy reviews, audits and document management.
    • Assist with onboarding, employee lifecycle administration and wider HR projects when required.

    What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys combining HR knowledge with technology, systems and continuous improvement. You'll be someone who doesn't just follow processes—you actively look for ways to make them better.

    Essential

    • CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 qualified (or currently working towards).
    • Previous experience in an HR role with significant exposure to HR systems.
    • Strong working knowledge of HR processes across the employee lifecycle.
    • Excellent IT skills and confidence learning new systems.
    • Experience using HRIS platforms such as PeopleHR, Access or similar.
    • A genuine interest in continuous improvement, automation and process optimisation.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret HR data and produce meaningful reports.
    • Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
    • Confident communicating with managers and stakeholders at all levels.

    Desirable

    • Experience creating HR dashboards and people analytics.
    • Experience producing HR guidance, training materials or e-learning content.
    • Exposure to workflow automation or AI tools within an HR environment.

    Benefits

    • 32 days holiday (including Bank Holidays), plus the option to purchase up to 5 additional days.
    • Company pension with up to 6% employer contribution.
    • Annual health check.
    • Free eye test and contribution towards glasses (up to £50).
