How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Owen Reed is looking to recruit an experienced Legal PA for a top law firm in Manchester.

    This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded Real Estate team, providing proactive, high-level support to Partners and fee earners. You'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the team by managing complex diaries, coordinating client matters, supporting billing processes and delivering an exceptional level of client service.

    This role is ideal for an experienced Legal PA who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoys building strong relationships with colleagues and clients.

    Key Responsibiliti

    esAs a Legal PA, you wil

    • l:Provide comprehensive PA support to Partners and fee earners within the Real Estate tea
    • m.Manage complex diaries, scheduling meetings, coordinating travel and resolving diary conflicts proactivel
    • y.Support billing activities, matter balances and working capital management in collaboration with Finance team
    • s.Assist with opening new matters, engagement letters and matter management processe
    • s.Coordinate client matter inception, conflict checks and Client Due Diligence (CDD) processe
    • s.Maintain accurate file management, including matter closures, archiving and ensuring compliance with firm procedure
    • s.Work closely with the Business Development team to coordinate events, conferences, client meetings and marketing initiative
    • s.Assist with bids, tenders, client reports, CV updates and CRM administratio
    • n.Prepare meeting packs, itineraries and hospitality arrangement
    • s.Delegate document production tasks and ensure work is completed accurately and on tim
    • e.Use firm technology and administrative systems efficiently to support the tea
    • m.Ensure compliance with the firm's risk management and regulatory procedure
    • s.Build strong working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders while delivering exceptional servic
