How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for three experienced Medical Writers to join a global pharmaceutical organisation on an initial 12-month contract. These roles will support the development of high-quality scientific communications across a range of therapeutic areas, partnering closely with Medical Affairs, Publications, and Cross-Functional Teams.

    As a Medical Writer, you will take ownership of content from concept through to final delivery, creating scientifically rigorous, evidence-based materials that support publication and communication strategies.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Author and develop manuscripts, review articles, abstracts, posters, slide presentations, and other scientific materials.
    • Lead content development from brief through to publication, ensuring first-time-right delivery.
    • Support publication planning and execution, including congresses, advisory boards, and scientific meetings.
    • Translate complex scientific and clinical data into clear, compelling, audience-appropriate communications.
    • Conduct scientific reviews and quality checks to ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency.
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality scientific content.
    • Ensure adherence to industry standards, publication guidelines, and internal processes.


    Requirements

    • Previous experience in Medical Writing within pharmaceuticals, biotech, medical communications, or healthcare.
    • Strong publication writing experience, including manuscripts, abstracts, and posters.
    • Excellent scientific writing, literature analysis, and data interpretation skills.
    • Ability to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and effectively.
    • Experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
    • Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MSc or equivalent) preferred.
