How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Accountancy Practice | Central London | Up to £40,000 | 1 day WFH after settling-in period

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and detail-focused Practice Administrator to join an established accountancy practice in Central London.

This is a varied role providing administrative support to the Partners and wider practice, with responsibility for ensuring the smooth running of internal processes and supporting the administration of the firm's client portfolio.

You will be involved in a mixture of client onboarding, statutory and regulatory administration, Companies House filings, document management and general practice support. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong administration skills who enjoys working in a professional services environment and is confident managing confidential information, deadlines and multiple priorities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide day-to-day administrative support to Partners and the wider accountancy team.
    • Assist with the onboarding of new clients, including gathering information, completing onboarding documentation and ensuring all relevant records are accurately maintained.
    • Support KYC, AML and client due diligence processes, ensuring documentation is complete and up to date.
    • Manage and maintain accurate client records and internal databases.
    • Assist with Companies House filings, including company incorporations, changes to company details, director and shareholder updates and confirmation statements.
    • Support the administration of statutory filings and regulatory deadlines, ensuring information is submitted accurately and on time.
    • Maintain statutory registers and company records where required.
    • Prepare, organise and file client documentation and correspondence.
    • Monitor deadlines and maintain internal trackers to ensure work is completed within required timescales.
    • Manage electronic and physical filing systems, ensuring documents are stored accurately and securely.
    • Prepare and format letters, reports, forms and other client documentation.
    • Liaise with clients to request information and documentation and follow up on outstanding items.
    • Liaise with Companies House and other external bodies where required.
    • Assist Partners and accountants with general administrative tasks and ad hoc requests.
    • Manage spreadsheets and internal trackers using Microsoft Excel, including formulas.
    • Assist with invoicing, billing administration and other general financial administration where required.
    • Help coordinate meetings, diaries and appointments for Partners.
    • Support the wider office with general administrative and organisational tasks.
    • Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and maintain efficient systems across the practice.

    About You

We are looking for someone who is highly organised, proactive and detail-focused, with excellent administration skills and the confidence to work closely with Partners, accountants and clients.

    You will ideally have:

    • Previous experience in an administrative role within an accountancy practice, professional services firm or similar environment.
    • Experience with client onboarding, KYC/AML or compliance administration.
    • An understanding of Companies House processes and statutory filings.
    • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage confidential information.
    • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
    • Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and formulas.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and use initiative.
    • The confidence to communicate professionally with clients and senior stakeholders.
    • A methodical approach to maintaining accurate records and documentation.

    What's on Offer

    • Salary up to £40,000, depending on experience.
    • Central London location.
    • Initially 5 days per week in the office to support training and settling into the role.
    • Once fully settled, the opportunity to work 1 day from home per week.
    • A varied role supporting Partners and the wider accountancy practice.
    • The opportunity to develop your career within a professional and established environment.
