How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you a recent Quantity Surveying graduate or have 1-3 years' experience within the construction industry? Looking to build your career with a leading contractor delivering exciting construction projects?



    We are recruiting for a motivated Graduate/Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a growing commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience, receive excellent mentoring from experienced professionals, and develop your career with a business that genuinely invests in its people.


    The Role

    Working alongside Senior Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers, you'll support the commercial management of projects from tender through to final account.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist with cost planning, procurement and subcontract management.
    • Support the preparation and submission of valuations and applications for payment.
    • Help manage subcontractor accounts, payments and variations.
    • Assist with cost reporting, forecasting and budget control.
    • Review drawings, specifications and contract documentation.
    • Prepare measurements and take-offs.
    • Support the commercial team with contract administration.
    • Attend site meetings and liaise with clients, subcontractors and project teams.
    • Help identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout project delivery
    • .Ensure projects are delivered within budget while maintaining quality and client satisfaction.



    About You

    We're looking for someone who is eager to learn and develop their commercial career.You'll ideally have:


    • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
    • Graduate level or up to 2-3 years' Quantity Surveying experience.
    • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
    • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
    • Full UK Driving Licence (preferred).
