How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Licensing Product Development Associate – Trading Cards & Games

    12 Months Contract

Hybrid 2 days in London/3 days remote

    £260/day Inside IR35

I'm working with a globally recognised entertainment organisation to recruit a Licensing Product Development Associate to join their EMEA Consumer Products team, supporting the development of exciting trading card and trading card game products across some of the world's most iconic entertainment franchises.

This is a creative product development role, but it is not a hands-on design position. We are looking for someone who understands licensing, consumer products and the product development lifecycle, with experience working with partners, reviewing concepts and bringing products to market.

    The Role

Working within the EMEA Consumer Products team, you will support the development of trading cards and trading card games, collaborating with internal teams and external licensee partners to deliver innovative products that align with franchise standards and consumer expectations.

You will work closely with licensees who create the product concepts and artwork, providing feedback, managing approvals and ensuring products progress successfully from initial ideas through to final execution.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support the end-to-end product development process for trading cards and trading card games
    • Work closely with licensing partners and manufacturers to develop new products
    • Review and provide feedback on product concepts, artwork submissions and creative proposals
    • Manage approvals and ensure products align with franchise guidelines
    • Coordinate with internal teams including Franchise, Legal, Marketing and Creative
    • Support multiple projects and timelines simultaneously
    • Maintain strong relationships with licensees and external partners
    • Track development milestones and ensure projects progress effectively
    • Stay informed on trends within trading cards, collectibles, games and consumer products

    About You

We are looking for someone with experience in licensing product development, consumer products, toys, games or collectibles.

    You will ideally have:

    • Minimum 2 years' experience in product development, licensing, toys, games or consumer products
    • Experience working with licensees, partners or suppliers
    • Understanding of physical product development processes
    • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders
    • Confidence reviewing creative concepts and providing constructive feedback
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships

Experience or knowledge of trading cards, trading card games or collectible products would be highly advantageous.

A genuine passion for entertainment franchises, gaming, collectibles or brands such as fantasy, animation or superheroes would be a bonus.

    Technical Skills

    • Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator (to review and understand artwork submissions – not to create designs)
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills

This role is NOT suitable for:

    • Graphic Designers looking for a hands-on creative role
    • UX/UI Designers
    • Digital Product Designers
    • Web Designers
    • Motion Designers
    • Creative Artworkers focused on producing artwork

    Ideal backgrounds include:

    • Licensing Product Development Associate
    • Product Development Coordinator
    • Consumer Products Executive
    • Licensing Coordinator
    • Toy & Games Product Developer
    • Collectibles Product Developer
    • Brand Licensing Executive
    • Product Development Assistant/Associate

If you enjoy working with world-class entertainment brands, managing creative partners and helping bring physical products to market, this could be a great opportunity.
