CONTENT PRODUCER
Reports to: Head of Content | Quedgeley, Gloucester (Hybrid) | Full-time, Permanent
Avantis Education is the team behind ClassVR and Eduverse, immersive learning technologies used in classrooms across more than 90 countries and winners of the King’s Award for Enterprise. We’re looking for a Content Producer to help conceptualise, develop and deliver innovative educational VR content that brings learning to life for students worldwide.
This is a hands-on, cross-functional role for a dynamic and thoroughly organised creative who can turn ambitious ideas into finished, high-quality products. You will oversee the integration of creative concepts with practical execution, guiding content from first brainstorm through to delivery, on time, on budget and within scope. You'll work closely with designers, writers, educators and engineers, championing both creative ambition and educational integrity at every stage.
What you’ll do
- Work with a team of designers and content writers to build interactive educational content, including educational games and other VR experiences
- Lead brainstorming sessions and creative workshops to generate new ideas, maintaining a development slate of ideas and prototypes ready for production
- Create storyboards, pitch decks, style guides and other creative documentation, and solve creative and technical challenges collaboratively with in-house teams
- Oversee the end-to-end production pipeline, ensuring alignment and execution across design, 3D art, animation, engineering, Product and QA
- Manage documentation, asset specifications, style guides and revision controls, and plan production schedules across multiple projects
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery deadlines and budgets are met
- Work closely with educators and subject matter experts to ensure instructional integrity and factual accuracy across all content
- Conduct internal playtests, evaluate user feedback and guide qualitative and data-driven iteration
- Ensure all content meets company guidelines, quality standards and learning objectives
- Develop and deliver workshops and training sessions, staying on top of industry trends to inform design
- Communicate project progress and outcomes clearly to stakeholders across the business
What you’ll bring
- Proven track record in an interactive/games producer role, or a closely aligned industry
- Experience producing treatments, scripts, storyboards and production bibles
- Experience working within teams that use real-time engines (Unity/Unreal), with a solid understanding of game design principles
- Competence in pipeline planning, agile methodologies and cross-discipline project management
- Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, both visually and verbally, with strong presentation skills
- Demonstrated success developing and delivering creative projects or educational initiatives
- A strong portfolio demonstrating interactive, experiential design, storytelling and visual direction
- Familiarity with learning design and ed-tech principles is a strong plus, as is hands-on experience in Blender/Unity or VR industry experience
