How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a senior in-house lawyer to join the legal team of a highly regarded investment management business. Working closely with the General Counsel and senior leadership, you'll play a key role in advising on strategic initiatives, funds and investment management, corporate governance, regulatory developments and a broad range of commercial and transactional matters across multiple jurisdictions. This is a visible role offering genuine influence within a collaborative, high-performing environment.

You'll provide pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice to senior stakeholders, support governance across group entities, advise on new business initiatives and acquisitions, and partner closely with Compliance and Risk to help drive business objectives while effectively managing legal risk. The position offers a varied workload spanning corporate, regulatory, fund product, investment management and transactional matters.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ PQE gained either in a major law firm in the funds, FS regulatory or corporate team or in-house in asset management. With strong commercial judgement and a natural drive and curiosity, you will have the confidence to influence senior stakeholders. This role would suit a proactive lawyer who enjoys working in a small, dynamic legal team, is comfortable leading projects and mentoring others, and is looking for a broad, strategic in-house position with significant exposure to the business.

This is a unique opportunity to become part of a growing and internationally focused business with a strong reputation for delivering high quality investment solutions across global markets. The organisation combines a stable platform with a forward-thinking culture, placing significant value on integrity, autonomy and long-term relationships. This exciting role will suit a highly motivated lawyer with a flexible and adaptable approach who is looking for their next challenge in a dynamic business with a flat structure which will offer you considerable scope to progress.
