How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Hush is an ambitious and distinctive fashion brand, with plans to double the business over the next few years. Founded 21 years ago, we are now established as one of the UK's leading online fashion retailers. We employ around 140 employees across head office and retail, creating and selling a beautiful range of women's clothing and accessories characterised by effortlessness, simplicity and a laidback sense of style. Despite the challenges facing the retail industry, Hush has continued to grow – and our company culture still reflects our entrepreneurial roots and relaxed aesthetic. We love hard-working and talented people with a can-do attitude and a passion for what they do.

At Hush, we're looking for an experienced Merchandiser to join our Planning team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded merchandiser who loves combining data with intuition to shape successful product ranges.

Working closely with Buying, Design, E-commerce and Supply Chain, you'll play a key role in ensuring we have the right product, in the right place, at the right time to support our continued growth.

    What you'll be doing

Reporting to our Merchandising Manager, you'll take ownership of your departments, building seasonal plans, managing the WSSI and driving trading decisions that maximise sales, stock efficiency and profitability. You'll collaborate across the business to deliver commercially balanced ranges while identifying opportunities to improve performance throughout the season.

    You'll:

    • Produce balanced option plans with clear reasoning behind sales, ROS and depth of buy assumptions, ensuring planning milestones are met.
    • Develop and maintain seasonal department plans, aligning sales, margin, stock and intake with agreed OTB targets.
    • Partner with Buyers to build commercially balanced ranges and pricing strategies that reflect the Hush customer and brand.
    • Analyse current trade and historical performance to identify risks and opportunities, making recommendations to optimise future ranges.
    • Build line buys, size profiles, colour plans and channel strategies to maximise availability and sell-through.
    • Own stock and sales management through the WSSI, ensuring accurate forecasting and delivery of key KPIs.
    • Work closely with Sourcing, Logistics and E-commerce teams to manage intake, minimise delivery risks and optimise online performance.
    • Embrace AI and technology to improve forecasting, planning efficiency and decision making.

    About you

    • 2-4 years merchandising experience within a fashion retail business.
    • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance customer demand, stock investment and profitability.
    • Excellent analytical and numerical skills with confidence interpreting trading data.
    • A proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
    • Strong planning, organisation and prioritisation skills with excellent attention to detail.
    • A collaborative communicator who enjoys building strong relationships across Buying, Design and the wider business.
    • Curious about technology and excited by opportunities to use AI and automation to enhance planning and trading decisions.

    About Us
