Due to a period of increased activity and demand, we are supporting a well-established business to recruit an experienced Employee Relations Specialist on a 6-month fixed-term contract to support their People function.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ER professional who enjoys managing varied casework, influencing stakeholders and providing commercially focused HR advice in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Managing a broad range of employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance, capability and flexible working matters.
- Providing expert advice, guidance and coaching to managers on employee relations issues and the application of HR policies.
- Supporting managers through formal employee relations processes, ensuring consistency, fairness and compliance with employment legislation.
- Advising on complex and sensitive people matters, helping to achieve effective and timely resolutions.
- Reviewing and updating policies and procedures in line with legislative changes and HR best practice.
- Producing accurate case records, reports and management information to identify trends and support decision-making.
- Working closely with the wider HR team to continuously improve processes and deliver an excellent people service.
About you:
- Previous experience within an Employee Relations Advisor or HR Advisor role with a strong employee relations focus.
- Sound knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience managing complex and sensitive employee relations cases from start to finish.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- A proactive, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload effectively.
- Ideally CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent experience).
