How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Are you ready to build something from the ground up and shape the future of risk and compliance in a high-growth energy business?

We’re partnering with an ambitious, early-stage energy company as they scale their international operations. With a strong vision for responsible growth and governance, they are now seeking a Head of Risk & Compliance to design, implement and lead a best-in-class framework across the organisation.

    The Opportunity

This is a rare greenfield role where you will have the opportunity to design and implement the frameworks and processes.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll have the autonomy and support to:

    • Build and embed a group-wide risk & compliance framework from scratch
    • Shape policies, controls and governance across multi-jurisdictional operations
    • Influence business strategy while ensuring the highest ethical and regulatory standards
    • Drive a culture of integrity, accountability and continuous improvement

    What You’ll Be Doing

    • Designing and implementing a robust, risk-based compliance programme across corporate and operational environments
    • Leading enterprise-wide risk assessments, including anti-bribery, sanctions and ethics risks
    • Overseeing due diligence, monitoring and investigations across third parties and transactions
    • Partnering with operational, legal, HSE and corporate teams to ensure end-to-end compliance integration
    • Acting as a key point of contact for regulators, auditors and external stakeholders
    • Delivering training, insights and reporting to senior leadership and Board level

    About You

You’ll be a credible, commercially minded compliance leader who thrives in a build-phase environment:

    • Significant experience in risk, compliance, legal or governance roles within the energy sector, or similarly regulated heavy industry.
    • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, ideally within energy or complex international sectors
    • Proven ability to design policies, lead audits/investigations, and influence senior stakeholders
    • Comfortable operating across multiple jurisdictions and cultural environments
    • A proactive, hands-on leader with high integrity and sound judgement
    • Experience in oil & gas and/or Arabic language capability, this would be highly desirable

    Why Apply?

    • Shape a function from day one in a high-growth business
    • Work alongside an experienced leadership team with global expertise
    • Play a pivotal role in embedding ethical, sustainable business practices
    • Competitive salary and benefits package
    • Flexible / hybrid working approach
