The Firm and Team
We are recruiting for an experienced employment lawyer to join a Tier 1 Employment Law boutique firm in the City of London. You will play a key role within a team of over 20 lawyers, taking a leading role in shaping how the team share knowledge, respond to legal change and deliver consistently high‑quality advice to clients. You will report to the firms' principal employment law knowledge lawyer.
The firm's clients are diverse and include individual clients at a senior level, often in the regulated sector. They also represent employers in a diverse range of sectors including legal and professional service firms, boutique investment banks, hedge funds, private equity firms and insurance firms.
The role
Your responsibilities as a PSL Lawyer will include:
- Staying ahead of developments in employment law, case law and legislation, turning change into clear, practical guidance that the team can use seamlessly.
- Taking ownership and evolving the team’s precedents, templates and know-how, keeping resources accurate, relevant and accessible.
- Designing and delivering high impact training, supporting CPD and inductions and helping drive consistency and technical confidence across the team.
- Producing client alerts and thought leadership, supporting seminars and working closely with colleagues to strengthen the team’s reputation as trusted advisers.
- Continually looking for smarter ways of working – using technology, automation and AI to improve efficiency and how knowledge is shared across the business.
About You
You will have a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience as either a practising employment lawyer or knowledge lawyer.
An interest in legal technology, innovation and improving ways of working would be a real advantage.
This role is part-time and a 12 month fixed term contract. Candidates that can start at short notice are preferred.
