How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

GLOBAL GOVERNANCE, INVESTIGATIONS & ASSURANCE LEAD

Interim Assignment | Outside IR35 | Remote with Occasional Travel

    August - September start 6 - 12 months assignment

Help shape a global governance and investigations framework.

We're delighted to be partnering exclusively with a large international B2C, multi-site organisation on a newly created interim appointment supporting a significant global governance transformation programme.

We're particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have successfully designed and implemented governance, investigations, safeguarding, compliance or assurance frameworks across multiple countries and jurisdictions. We will not consider IT or Data Privacy Specialists.

Operating across multiple countries, the organisation is seeking an experienced governance professional to lead the design and implementation of a global framework for managing operational incidents, safeguarding concerns, investigations, reporting, escalation and organisational learning.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape how operational incidents are governed across a complex international organisation, ensuring consistent global standards while recognising regional legislation, cultural differences and operational requirements.

Given the international scope of this assignment, we're particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have successfully designed and implemented governance, investigations, safeguarding, compliance or assurance frameworks across multiple countries and jurisdictions.

This is a strategic transformation role focused on designing governance frameworks, policies and best practice—not managing day-to-day operational incidents.

    The Role

Working closely with global and regional stakeholders, you will:

    • Design and implement a global governance and investigations framework.
    • Develop policies, standards and procedures covering operational incidents, safeguarding concerns, investigations, reporting and escalation.
    • Establish consistent governance processes across international operations while recognising regional legislative, regulatory and cultural requirements.
    • Design governance and assurance processes that promote organisational learning, continuous improvement and effective risk management.
    • Develop executive reporting, governance metrics and assurance processes to support senior leadership.
    • Drive the consistent application of best practice across a large, multinational organisation.

    Key Requirements

We're interested in professionals who can demonstrate:

    • Experience operating within a large multinational or international organisation.
    • Experience designing and implementing governance, investigations or assurance frameworks across multiple countries and jurisdictions.
    • Experience developing governance, policies and processes relating to safeguarding, compliance, legal, HSE, enterprise risk or operational risk.
    • Experience implementing investigation, escalation and reporting frameworks.
    • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders across complex, matrix organisations operating internationally.
    • Experience leading governance, compliance or enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.

We would particularly welcome applications from professionals with backgrounds in:

    • Safeguarding
    • Compliance & Ethics
    • Legal Compliance
    • Governance & Assurance
    • Enterprise Risk
    • Operational Risk
    • Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
    • Regulatory Compliance
    • Business Assurance
    • Quality & Assurance
    • Corporate Investigations
    • Lawyers with significant compliance, governance or investigations experience

Sector experience is less important than experience developing governance and investigations frameworks within large international organisations.

    Please Note

This is not an IT, Cyber Security or Technology Incident Management role.

We're looking for professionals with expertise in operational incident governance, particularly within safeguarding, compliance, legal, HSE, risk or assurance functions.
