How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We're Hiring: Associate Lecturer - Post Production


    London | Central Film School | Part-time (0.6) | £36,000 - £46,000 (FTE)


    We're looking for passionate screen industry professionals to join Central Film School as Associate Lecturers. Whether you're an experienced Higher Education lecturer, or a practitioner looking to inspire the next generation of filmmakers, we'd love to hear from you.


    As an Associate Lecturer in Post Production, you'll bring your professional experience into the classroom, delivering engaging teaching that prepares students for careers across the screen industries. You'll join a collaborative academic community where creativity, industry practice and inclusive teaching are at the heart of everything we do.

    You'll be resposible for:


    • Delivering engaging post production classes across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes
    • Bringing current industry practice into the learning environment
    • Assessing student work and providing timely, constructive feedback
    • Supporting students through tutorials and academic guidance
    • Working collaboratively with Course Leaders and the wider Academic Team
    • Contributing to module development and curriculum enhancement
    • Supporting recruitment activities including interviews, portfolio reviews and auditions
    • Helping students develop the professional skills needed for successful careers in the screen industries

    We're looking for someone who:


    • Has professional experience within the screen industries
    • Holds a Level 7 qualification in filmmaking or a related discipline, or has equivalent industry experience
    • Has experience teaching in Higher Education (or is keen to develop their teaching career)
    • Can inspire students by combining academic knowledge with current industry practice
    • Is an excellent communicator with strong organisational skills
    • Enjoys working collaboratively within a creative academic environment
    • Is committed to delivering an inclusive and supportive student experience
