PE Global is currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse / Material Handler to join our manufacturing client based in Aycliffe. The role is an initial 6-month contract and the rate for this role is £18.46 p/hour (including shift premium).
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV), including Reach Truck, Counterbalance and Man Rider equipment, safely and efficiently.
- Receive, pick, pack and prepare customer orders for dispatch in line with company procedures.
- Load and unload vehicles and move materials throughout the warehouse and production areas.
- Maintain accurate stock records and update inventory using SAP and warehouse management systems.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments and ensure all documentation is completed accurately.
- Work both indoors and outdoors as required while maintaining a safe and organised working environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure work is completed efficiently and deadlines are met.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies at all times.
Requirements
- Valid PIV licence with proven experience operating Reach Truck, Counterbalance and Man Rider equipment (essential).
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience.
- SAP experience is desirable.
- Good computer literacy and basic data entry skills.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexible approach to work and willingness to work a rotating three-shift pattern.
- Good time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines.
- GCSEs or equivalent qualification is preferred.
Contract Details
- Location: Aycliffe
- Duration: Initial 6-month contract
- Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday on a rotating three-shift pattern
- Pay: £15.45 per hour plus £3.01 shift premium (£18.46 per hour). Overtime paid at enhanced rates.
