How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Role

You will join the firm's highly regarded Intellectual Property & Technology group, which operates as a core part of its international transactional practice. The team advises on all aspects of IP, technology, data, and commercial law across a range of sectors - life sciences, fintech, digital platforms, media and entertainment, and e-commerce. Work regularly encompasses:

    • Advising on the IP and IT components of major M&A transactions, joint ventures, and strategic investments for global clients

    • Leading on data protection and privacy mandates, including GDPR and UK DPA compliance, cybersecurity and incident-response strategies

The group is often called upon for cross-border carve-outs, technology collaborations, and advisory work at the intersection of law and innovation, positioning lawyers at the forefront of legal developments in digital transformation. You will work closely with market-leading partners on strategic matters impacting global businesses.

    What They’re Looking For

    • Qualified lawyer with 2–4 years’ PQE at a leading firm (US, Magic Circle, Silver Circle, or specialist boutique)
    • Demonstrable experience in transactional IP and technology law, including negotiating licensing and commercial agreements
    • Strong knowledge of data protection regulation, privacy compliance, and emerging technology issues
    • Proven ability to tackle multi-jurisdictional transactional work with commercial awareness
    • Outstanding academic credentials and excellent communication skills
    • Collaborative approach with ambition, versatility, and client-facing confidence

    Why Apply?

This is a chance to join a market-leading IP/Technology practice within one of the world’s most respected law firms. You will gain exposure to high-profile deals and cutting-edge advisory work in areas shaping the future of technology and intellectual property, such as AI and digital services. The firm offers top of market remuneration and an attractive bonus scheme, a strong career development track, and opportunities for international secondment.
