Senior Employment Counsel | Global Asset Management Leader | London (Hybrid)
This isn't a step in-house. It's a seat at the table.
We're partnering with one of the world's most iconic global asset management businesses on a career-defining Senior Employment Counsel hire - a role built for a heavy-hitter who wants genuine ownership, senior stakeholder access, and a platform to grow into a leadership position within one of the most respected legal functions in the industry.
This is a business-critical seat within a high-performing legal team, advising across UK and international operations at the sharpest end of corporate employment, reward, and senior leadership matters - not policy admin, not a back-office function. You'll be trusted with the complex, the sensitive, and the strategic.
The work:
- Own pragmatic, commercially astute advice across the full spectrum of employment law
- Advise directly on executive compensation, benefits and incentive structures - including bonus and LTIP design
- Be a key legal voice on corporate transactions, including M&A
- Draft and negotiate high-stakes employment contracts, policies and governance documentation
- Operate as a trusted partner to HR, Reward and the most senior stakeholders in the business
What gets you through the door:
- A qualified lawyer with serious UK employment law credentials - private practice, in-house, or both
- Strong, proven experience across corporate employment, including TUPE
- A genuine command of reward, benefits and executive compensation structures
- The gravitas and confidence to operate at senior stakeholder level from day one
- Commercially sharp, pragmatic, and comfortable owning ambiguity
Why this is worth your attention:
- A globally recognised, blue-chip platform - the kind of name that defines a CV
- Real strategic influence, not just legal sign-off
- Genuine trajectory toward a leadership position within the function
- Hybrid working, London-based
- Compensation and bonus structured to attract top-tier talent
This is a rare one. Senior lawyers who want to stop advising from the sidelines and start shaping the business - this is your move.
