Financial Crime Officer opportunity working with a rapidly growing specialty insurer within the Lloyd's market. This role will focus on sanctions advisory, providing guidance across UK, US, EU and UN sanctions regimes, alongside broader financial crime responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide sanctions advice across underwriting, claims, reinsurance, distribution and third-party relationships.
- Assess complex multi-jurisdictional sanctions risks, including nexus, ownership & control and territorial scope.
- Support and enhance the Group's sanctions compliance framework, including risk assessments, screening controls, licensing and regulatory engagement.
- Advise on financial crime matters relating to new business, complex transactions and international jurisdictional risks.
- Monitor regulatory developments and implement changes to policies, procedures and controls.
- Produce sanctions and financial crime MI for senior management and governance committees.
- Support compliance monitoring reviews and manage sanctions-related incidents, breaches and regulatory notifications.
Skills & Experience:
- Financial Crime and Sanctions Advisory experience within the Lloyd's/London Market.
- Strong knowledge of UK, US, EU and UN sanctions regimes, including OFSI, OFAC, licensing, ownership & control and territorial scope.
- Lloyd's/London Market insurance experience is essential.
- ICA, ACAMS or equivalent qualification is desirable.
