We are working with a leading international law firm who are seeking an Associate to join their Infrastructure & Projects team within their Edinburgh office.
The Role
The successful candidate will join a tier-one Scottish Infrastructure practice, working on a diverse portfolio of both contentious and non-contentious matters across a range of sectors, including energy, real estate, and the public sector. The candidate will advise on high-value infrastructure projects and disputes across the UK, with a focus on clean energy and transport sectors. Responsibilities will also include advising on adjudication and court proceedings, and procurement projects.
The candidate will play a key supporting role within the team, facilitating the growth and development of junior members through supervision, training, and mentoring. The candidate will also demonstrate a willingness to participate in business development initiatives while managing client relationships.
Essential Criteria
- 3-7 PQE;
- Strong background infrastructure and projects law. Experience of public procurement processes;
- Excellent commercial awareness;
- Outstanding academics;
- Technically excellent;
- Negotiation skills;
- Willingness to become involved in business development;
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
