Privacy Counsel - International Law Firm

A global law firm are hiring for a Privacy Counsel to join their General Counsel team, to work on a wide range of data protection & privacy activities. Following an increased deployment of AI systems across the business, this role will sit at the intersection of privacy & emerging technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Managing Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) relating to the implementation & use of new systems, processing activities & suppliers
- Ensuring appropriate contractual provisions are in place with new clients and other businesses in the firm's supply chains
- Advising on Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs)
- Assisting with training & awareness across the firm
Requirements:
- 3 years PQE
- Prior experience in a role with a dedicated focus on privacy/data protection
- Prior experience advising on privacy compliance & commercial contracts
- Open to both in-house & private practice backgrounds
- Strong working knowledge of the GDPR
