How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Better places, thriving communities

    ROLE: Facilities Management Coordinator

    HOURS: 40 Hours

    LOCATION: Harwell Campus, Oxford

At Mitie, our people are our greatest strength, and our promise is to create a place to work where you can thrive and be your best every day. We're looking for a Workplace Facilities Coordinator who will be the customer facing representative for our services within the Civil Nuclear Constabulary national IFM contract, based at their new Head Office.

    Role Responsibilities:

    • Act as the customer facing representative, binding together the various facilities services to act as one convenient point of contact to the building user, enhancing the customer experience by building and maintaining excellent relationships with occupants and exceeding their expectations daily.
    • Act as the lead for Mitie on the service delivered to the CNC Southern Sites and be the go-to person for the client, ensuring consistent communication across the team and keeping all parties updated in relation to all areas within the business.
    • Take responsibility as the first point of contact for FM-related issues, logging calls on behalf of building occupants, ensuring they are directed to the correct department, and logging and chasing work orders on behalf of the client.
    • Maintain a visible presence on site by actively walking the facilities to ensure areas are clean, tidy, and proactively assisting building occupants while ensuring high standards across the facility and sharing best practice.
    • Attend regular communication and monthly meetings with the Account Manager to provide updates on issues, queries, and outstanding works while ensuring service delivery meets and exceeds customer expectations.

    Required Qualifications:

Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role:

    • Proven experience within a strong customer service environment with high-quality interpersonal skills and excellent written and spoken communication skills for both individuals and groups.
    • Ability to work independently with self-discipline, demonstrating initiative and making decisions without referral to a line manager, alongside strong problem-solving skills and the ability to deal positively with conflict situations.
    • Experience in using CAFM systems (logging jobs, running reports, raising purchase orders), with strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and computer literacy including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
    • Flexible and adaptable approach to work, with a methodical mindset and focus on maintaining standards; a valid Health and Safety qualification such as IOSH is desirable, although support to achieve this may be provided.

    What's in it for you?

    • Opportunity to work in a high-profile site environment at the Civil Nuclear Constabulary Head Office.
    • Support for professional development, including achieving health and safety qualifications where applicable.
    • A collaborative team environment where communication, best practice, and continuous improvement are encouraged.
