How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Specialist SEND TA | Barnet | September 2026 Start

Are you passionate about supporting young people with ASC and additional needs? Do you have the patience, resilience, and adaptability needed to succeed as a Specialist SEND TA while helping students overcome barriers to learning and develop confidence?

A warm and inclusive secondary school in Barnet is seeking a resilient Specialist SEND TA to join their Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) from September 2026. This opportunity is ideal for a Specialist SEND TA who is passionate about supporting neurodiverse students within a specialist SEND environment.

As a Specialist SEND TA, you will support a small group of students with ASC across KS3 and KS4, some of whom may also have additional needs including ADHD. This role would suit a Specialist SEND TA who is child-centred and confident managing behaviour.

Why Join This School as a Specialist SEND TA?

    • Gain specialist experience supporting students with ASC within an established ARP.
    • Develop valuable skills in SEND support, behaviour management, and intervention delivery.
    • Work alongside experienced SEND professionals and teaching staff.
    • Make a meaningful difference to students’ confidence, independence, and progress.

The Role of a Specialist SEND TA

    • Support students with ASC across KS3 and KS4 within the ARP and mainstream classroom environment.
    • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to help students engage with learning and develop key skills.
    • Deliver targeted interventions focused on communication, confidence, independence and emotional regulation.
    • Use positive behaviour strategies to support students with their individual needs.
    • Adapt your approach to meet different learning profiles and respond to changing situations.

    Requirements

    • A degree from a good university.
    • Strong A-Level results demonstrating good academic ability.
    • Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, ideally within a school, youth, mentoring, care or similar setting.
    • Confident managing behaviour and providing consistent, positive support.

If you are a committed Specialist SEND TA looking to make a real impact within an ARP setting, we would love to hear from you.
