How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Data Scientist (Python, PySpark, Healthcare Analytics)

    Contract: Initial 2 Months (Mid-September – Mid-November)

    Location: Remote (UK) with 1 day per week in London (2–3 days preferred)


    We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join a high-profile digital transformation programme focused on building innovative products on a large-scale UK healthcare data platform.

    Working within a multidisciplinary product team, you will design and develop data science solutions that support population health management and analytics. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to products that help improve healthcare outcomes through advanced analytics and machine learning.

    This is initially a 2-month contract, with the potential for extension or a longer-term opportunity for high-performing consultants.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design, build, and optimise scalable analytics and data pipelines.
    • Develop data science solutions for healthcare-focused digital products.
    • Build predictive models and analytical solutions using Python and PySpark.
    • Support product discovery and translate analytical requirements into production-ready solutions.
    • Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and design teams throughout the development lifecycle.
    • Deliver robust, reusable, and scalable data science models.
    • Work with large and complex datasets to generate actionable insights.

    Required Skills

    • Strong commercial experience as a Data Scientist.
    • Expert knowledge of Python and PySpark (essential).
    • Experience designing and building analytics/data pipelines.
    • Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets.
    • Experience developing and deploying machine learning models.
    • Experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering and product teams.

    Highly Desirable

    • Experience working with NHS, healthcare, or population health data.
    • Population Health Management.
    • Risk stratification, clustering, or segmentation.
    • Healthcare demand and capacity analytics.
    • Azure Databricks or similar distributed data platforms.
    • Tableau dashboard migration experience.
    • Workforce planning or supply chain analytics.
