How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    💰 £55,000 - £65,000 + Company Vehicle + Generous Bonus Scheme

Are you an experienced Lift Engineer ready to take the next step in your career?

We're partnering with one of the UK's most respected privately-owned lift businesses to recruit a Project Supervisor covering the Midlands through to the North of England.

This isn't another corporate environment with layers of management and red tape. This is a business built on people, innovation, and long-term careers. Many of the senior leaders and managers started their journey as lift engineers and have progressed through the organisation, with several employees having built successful careers spanning 15+ years.

    Why Join?

    ✅ £55,000 - £65,000 basic salary

    ✅ Company vehicle

    ✅ Generous bonus scheme

✅ Family days and company events throughout the year

    ✅ Genuine career progression opportunities

    ✅ Supportive, people-first culture

    ✅ Long-established, privately-owned business

✅ Structured development plans and leadership pathways

✅ NVQ Level 4 training fully funded and supported in-house

If you're ambitious and want to build a long-term career rather than simply move jobs, this company will invest heavily in your future and place you on a clear progression path.

    The Role

As Project Supervisor, you'll play a key role in supporting and managing major repair and project activities across the region. You'll work closely with engineers, customers, subcontractors, and senior management to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Supervising and supporting a team of engineers
    • Managing major repair and project works
    • Providing technical and logistical support
    • Monitoring project progress and performance
    • Liaising with customers and internal departments
    • Managing subcontractors and specialist contractors
    • Supporting health & safety compliance
    • Delivering technical guidance and mentoring to engineers
    • Ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget

    About You

    Essential:

    • NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering
    • Strong technical knowledge across lift products and applications
    • Experience supporting or leading engineers
    • Excellent communication and organisational skills
    • Full UK driving licence

    Desirable:

    • NVQ Level 4 in Lift Engineering

Don't have NVQ4? No problem. The business will support and fund the qualification through its internal development programme for the right candidate.

    Interested?

If you're looking for a company that genuinely values its people, invests in career development, and offers real opportunities to progress into senior leadership, we'd love to hear from you.
