Our confidential client is an established, luxury restaurant group renowned for delivering outstanding food, exceptional service, and a relaxed yet refined dining experience. With a strong commitment to sustainability, seasonal produce, and working with trusted local suppliers, this is an exciting opportunity to lead the kitchen of a thriving, high-quality restaurant in the heart of Central London.
The Role
This is a full-time, on-site position (48 hours per week) for an ambitious and experienced Head Chef who is passionate about leading high-performing teams and delivering exceptional seafood-focused cuisine.
As Head Chef, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the kitchen, ensuring consistently high culinary standards while driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all daily kitchen operations
- Create and develop innovative seasonal menus
- Recruit, train, mentor and inspire the kitchen team
- Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation and consistency
- Ensure compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations
- Manage food costs and deliver GP targets
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Support private dining events, collaborations and special projects
- Foster a positive, professional and collaborative kitchen culture
About You
We're looking for a passionate culinary leader who thrives in a fast-paced premium restaurant environment.
You will have:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Head Chef within a quality restaurant
- Proven experience in menu development
- Strong knowledge of seafood preparation and modern culinary techniques
- Excellent leadership and people management skills
- A solid understanding of food safety, kitchen operations and compliance
- Exceptional organisational, time management and problem-solving abilities
- The ability to perform under pressure while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
- A culinary qualification or professional certification (desirable)
- The right to work in the UK
