How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is a busy, hands-on role where you will be responsible for ensuring raw materials are available to support production, working closely with suppliers to manage purchase orders, delivery schedules, inventory levels and supply issues.

With significant business growth planned over the coming years, this is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

    The Role

As Buyer Expeditor, you will play a key role in maintaining the smooth flow of materials into the business, ensuring production demands are met while balancing stock levels and supplier performance.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Raising and managing purchase orders for raw materials and components
    • Expediting orders and maintaining regular communication with suppliers
    • Monitoring supplier lead times and delivery performance
    • Managing inventory levels in line with agreed min/max stock parameters
    • Booking and coordinating supplier deliveries
    • Updating and maintaining purchasing data within SAP
    • Responding quickly to changes in production plans and material requirements
    • Working closely with Production, Planning and Warehouse teams to resolve supply issues
    • Monitoring forecast demand and ensuring materials are available to support business requirements
    • Investigating and resolving shortages, delays and supplier-related issues
    • Supporting continuous improvement across purchasing and supply chain processes

    About You

We are looking for a proactive and organised individual who thrives in a fast-moving environment and enjoys building strong supplier relationships.

    • Previous experience within a purchasing, buying, expediting or supply chain role
    • Experience working within a manufacturing environment
    • Good understanding of MRP/ERP systems, ideally SAP
    • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
    • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
    • A proactive approach to problem solving and supplier management
    • Good Excel and general IT skills
    • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment

    What's on Offer

    • Opportunity to join a growing and successful manufacturing business
    • Varied and fast-paced role with genuine responsibility
    • Supportive team environment
    • Career development opportunities as the business continues to expand

If you're looking for a role where you can make a real impact within a busy supply chain team, we would love to hear from you.
