We're looking for a Fleet Coordinator to take ownership of a fleet of 50-60 Material Handling Equipment (MHE) assets, ensuring maximum uptime, safety compliance, cost control, and operational efficiency across our Shotton Mill site.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in fleet coordination, plant management, logistics, engineering support, or warehouse operations who enjoys working with both people and equipment to deliver operational excellence.
What You'll Be Doing
✅ Managing the day-to-day operation of our MHE fleet, including Forklift Trucks, Reach Trucks, PPTs, Stackers, Scissor Lifts and Site Vehicles
✅ Monitoring fleet utilisation, availability, and performance across the operation
✅ Coordinating preventative maintenance schedules and managing breakdown response activities
✅ Working closely with Engineering teams and external service providers to minimise downtime
✅ Ensuring all equipment remains compliant with LOLER, PUWER and Health & Safety requirements
✅ Maintaining fleet records, service documentation, inspections and certification records
✅ Managing battery charging and asset allocation processes
✅ Tracking fleet KPIs including uptime, utilisation, maintenance costs and damage rates
✅ Supporting cost reduction initiatives and identifying opportunities to improve fleet performance
✅ Acting as the key point of contact for all fleet-related matters across Logistics, Engineering and Operations
What We're Looking For
Essential
✔ Experience in fleet coordination, plant/MHE management or logistics operations
✔ Strong organisational and planning skills within a fast-paced environment
✔ Working knowledge of Material Handling Equipment and operational requirements
✔ Experience coordinating maintenance activities and managing contractors
✔ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
✔ Strong analytical skills with the ability to monitor and report on fleet performance
✔ Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
✔ Knowledge of LOLER and PUWER regulations
✔ Experience with CMMS or Fleet Management Systems
✔ Background in warehousing, distribution, manufacturing or FMCG operations
✔ Experience managing leased fleet contracts
✔ IOSH Working Safely qualification
✔ Turkish language skills
