Our client is seeking a data protection lawyer to be based in London. Extensive experience with data privacy regulation and practice is expected, including GDPR and UK DPA specifically. CIPP/E certification is strongly preferred.
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Lead the implementation of privacy and data protection agreements, policies, and procedures.
- Review and negotiate data processing clauses.
- Conduct legitimate interest, risk, and privacy impact assessments.
- Provide privacy training for colleagues.
- Oversee responses to data subject access requests and regulatory inquiries.
- Advise on global privacy developments.
Required Qualifications:
- Background in a top-tier transactional firm or equivalent in-house role.
- Strong knowledge of GDPR, UK DPA, and other global privacy laws.
- Experience drafting and negotiating data privacy documentation and handling privacy-related issues in a global business context.
- Proven ability to manage data privacy processes.
