How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is a varied generalist role, offering exposure across the full employee lifecycle, with a particular focus on employee relations, recruitment, HR operations, benefits administration, payroll support, and HR projects.

The successful candidate will provide practical HR advice to managers, support business-wide people initiatives, and help ensure the smooth delivery of HR processes and services across the organisation. Key Responsibilities

    • Provide advice and guidance to managers on employee relations matters, including performance management, absence management, occupational health referrals, and family-friendly policies.
    • Support the implementation and consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
    • Manage probation reviews and support performance improvement processes.
    • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities, including agency management, advertising, interview coordination, onboarding, and induction.
    • Produce HR documentation including contracts, promotion letters, salary increase notifications, and employment-related correspondence.
    • Support payroll and benefits administration, including pension communications, employee benefits updates, and invoice processing.
    • Prepare and analyse HR metrics and management information, including headcount, turnover, recruitment, and remuneration reporting.
    • Maintain accurate HR records, HR systems, organisational charts, and intranet content.
    • Coordinate internal and external training activities and maintain employee training records.
    • Contribute to HR projects, annual remuneration processes, and wider people initiatives.

    Candidate Profile

    • Previous experience in a generalist HR Advisory role.
    • Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
    • CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent) or working towards a qualification.
    • Experience working within financial services is advantageous.
    • Strong HR systems knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
    • Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Able to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and maintain high levels of accuracy and confidentiality.
    • Commercial, pragmatic, and solutions-focused approach.

    What's on Offer

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and professional asset management business, offering broad HR exposure, involvement in strategic projects, and the chance to work within a supportive and collaborative team environment. Salary will be dependent upon experience
