Operational Cyber Vulnerability Researcher
Salary: Up to £75,000 + Excellent Benefits
Location: Gloucester, Manchester or London (Onsite)
Security Clearance: Must be eligible for Developed Vetting (DV)
I'm working with a leading technology organisation delivering some of the UK's most advanced cyber capabilities. They're looking for talented Vulnerability Researchers and Reverse Engineers to join a highly specialised team tackling some of the toughest technical challenges in National Security.
Whether you already work in offensive cyber or have built your skills through research projects, bug bounty programmes or Capture the Flag competitions, this is an opportunity to develop your expertise alongside some of the industry's best.
What You'll Be Doing
- Conducting vulnerability research and reverse engineering across a range of complex platforms and technologies.
- Analysing software and hardware to identify security weaknesses and develop proof-of-concept exploits.
- Building bespoke tooling and adapting to new technologies as required.
- Working collaboratively with highly skilled engineers and researchers on mission-critical projects.
- Sharing knowledge, mentoring colleagues and contributing to technical excellence across the team.
What We're Looking For
You'll ideally have experience with some of the following:
- Vulnerability Research, Reverse Engineering or Exploit Development
- Tools such as Ghidra, IDA Pro, Unicorn or other reverse engineering frameworks
- Low-level programming and operating system internals
- Android, iOS, Linux or Windows platforms
- Binary analysis, debugging and exploit development techniques
- Capture the Flag (CTF), bug bounty or independent security research experience
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to a range of audiences
Professional experience is welcomed, but strong technical hobbyists and researchers with demonstrable skills are also encouraged to apply.
