How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Senior HR Consultant

    About the Role

    The Senior HR Consultant will play a key role in supporting complex workforce change and restructuring programmes, helping organisations shape their workforce to meet long-term strategic objectives, improve business performance, optimise costs, and ensure compliance with employment legislation and regulatory requirements.

    Working as part of an Employee Relations and Workforce Change function, the role will provide expert HR consultancy support across a range of transformation initiatives, delivering pragmatic solutions while effectively managing risk and stakeholder expectations.


    Overall Purpose of the Role

    The successful candidate will support the delivery of workforce change and restructuring programmes across multiple business areas and geographies. They will take ownership of HR workstreams for complex change initiatives, including restructures, TUPE transfers, outsourcing, insourcing, new site implementations, and wider workforce transformation programmes.

    The role will require close partnership with HR Business Partners, Employee Relations specialists, and other HR functions to ensure effective planning, consultation, communication, and implementation of change.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide senior HR consultancy support across workforce change and restructuring programmes.
    • Lead HR workstreams through the full change lifecycle, including initiation, due diligence, consultation, implementation, and closure.
    • Support and manage employee consultation processes, including engagement with unions and employee representatives.
    • Partner with stakeholders to develop effective change strategies and communication plans.
    • Manage programme governance, risks, dependencies, and reporting requirements.
    • Provide expert guidance on employee relations matters, employment legislation, and regulatory considerations.
    • Support change delivery across multiple locations and jurisdictions, recognising cultural and geographical sensitivities.
    • Work collaboratively with HR Business Partners, specialist HR teams, and business leaders to deliver successful outcomes.


    Essential Experience & Skills

    • Strong and demonstrable experience delivering workforce change and restructuring programmes.
    • Proven experience managing complex employee relations matters, including working with unions and employee representatives.
    • Experience leading union and works council consultations.
    • Experience delivering employee consultation processes, redundancy programmes, and workforce transition initiatives.
    • Experience managing TUPE projects and programmes.
    • Experience supporting large-scale and complex change programmes.
    • Experience delivering change initiatives across international locations.
    • Strong understanding of employment legislation and HR best practice.
    • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
    • Strong project and change management capability, with the ability to structure and deliver programmes effectively.
    • Experience working within highly matrixed organisations.
    • Strong analytical capability with confidence working with workforce data and insights.
    • Advanced Excel skills, including data manipulation, merging datasets, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and managing large volumes of data.


    Candidates should demonstrate:

    • Strong expertise across workforce change, employee relations, consultation processes, redundancy programmes, TUPE, and relevant employment legislation.
    • The ability to independently manage HR workstreams within complex change programmes.
    • Strong programme management skills, including planning, governance, tracking, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
    • Confidence using MS Excel to analyse, manage, validate, and quality-check workforce data.
